The wedding it suits
Alpine Editorial is made for a wedding by a Swiss lake in summer: a hotel terrace, a boathouse or a garden that runs down to the water. The photograph of Iseltwald on Lake Brienz sits beside your names rather than behind them, and the cream, slate and brass palette stays quiet. It suits couples who want their invitation calm and carefully made, more gallery than garden party.
Your names and headings are set in Cormorant Garamond, with the date and the town on the line above them. A fine white frame runs inside the photograph and the schedule reads as a timeline. When a guest opens the invitation, your names press into the paper like letterpress, and the rule draws in after them. For guests coming by train or boat, the travel section has room for the timetable and the last boat back.
