The wedding it suits
Midnight Orchid is for a celebration that goes on late: an evening wedding, a party in a city venue, or a winter wedding where everything happens after dark. Magenta orchids on black open the invitation, and the paper below is aubergine with pale lilac text. It is dramatic and floral at once, for couples who want something bolder than white roses.
Your names are set in DM Serif Display italic with a soft lavender glow, and small glowing marks separate the sections. When a guest opens the invitation, a curtain in the colour of the paper lifts while the photograph settles, then your names rise, and a soft sheen passes over them. The photograph fills the opening and the dark paper carries on below it, so the invitation stays dark from top to bottom.
